Ena Nickolai’s funeral will be held at Concordia at 11am on the 24th of September.
Ena and her beautiful flowers will be sorely missed, she was such a blessing to have as a member of our church family.

Mark your calendars for the official closing service for Taplan on Sunday, October 18th. Bishop David will be taking the entire service. It will be an evening service with a time for coffee fellowship before the service, depending on COVID restrictions. Everyone is also welcome to attend service there at any time before that date, please see our service schedule. THERE WILL ALSO BE A LESS FORMAL PRAYER AND REFLECTION SERVICE ON SATURDAY, SEPT 26TH. YOU ARE VERY WELCOME TO ATTEND, PLEASE RSVP TO JOHN AND JENNY SCHWARZ. Please keep Taplan in your prayers as they go through this time of grieving and on to the next chapter.

We are very grateful that we can meet in our church buildings and to celebrate the Lord’s Supper.  Here are some guidelines to keep in mind:

We can enjoy coffee fellowship times again, but there will be designated servers who will serve each cup. We need to continue adhering to social distancing guidelines while queueing.
• Please sit in designated spots in your church
• Stay home if you are feeling unwell
• Wash your hands before you come to service and adhere to social distancing rules
• Individual cups will be used for communion

If you would like to listen to the audio of Silvia Kruger’s and Errol Schutz’s funerals, then please go to the ‘In Memorium’ page.

Bookpurnong welcomed Pastor Avito and Anna da Costa into membership on Sunday, July 26th. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue to settle in to Riverland life.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?  As it is written,

“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
    we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,  nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:35-39
